Getting Here From

Kuala Lumpur



Most travellers will start their journey from Kuala Lumpur, which is linked by a highway.

From Kuala Lumpur, the most popular route is the North-South Expressway/Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan/E1. Then take exit 135 - Gopeng towards 

Gopeng / Jeram / Batu Gajah.

Continue on straight to Lebuhraya Ipoh-Lumut. You should head in the direction of Lumut, after which you will see signboards stating how far UTP is. UTP will be on your right side before the main town of Seri Iskandar.

Drive time takes about 2 and a half hours, with a distance covering approximately 215km.


Taxi services are also available from KLIA to UTP.


From KLIA, you can ask for a limousine service taxi to send you to UTP and it will cost you around RM450 (USD122) to get to UTP.


Another option is to get a taxi from KL Sentral Station. These outstation taxis would cost you around RM370 (USD100) to UTP



You may get to Pudu Sentral by walking from either, Masjid Jamek LRT Kelana Jaya Line station (9 minute walk) or the Plaza Rakyat LRT Ampang Line station (5 minute walk) which is also a connecting station to Merdeka MRT station.

Alternatively, you may take a Grab/Taxi to Pudu Sentral.

Once you have reached Puduraya Bus Station, there are 6 trips a day with the earliest at 8.30am and the latest at 11pm which costs RM25 (USD 6) to get to Bandar Seri Iskandar and subsequently to UTP.

At the Bandar Seri Iskandar Bus Station, you may take a Grab/Taxi to UTP which is roughly 8 minutes away by car.


You may get to Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) by taking the KLIA Transit train. Not to be confused with KLIA Ekspres train which goes driect to KL Sentral from KLIA/KLIA2. The KLIA Transit train runs every 30 minutes.

Alternatively you may take a Grab/Taxi to TBS.

You can also get to TBS by taking the Ampang Line LRT which stops at TBS Station. You may also take a bus from KLIA2 to TBS.

Once you have reached Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS), you could choose Trans-City buses such as Plusliner, Arwana or Kesatuan. Ticket prices range from RM23-28 (USD 5.60-6.90) to get to Bandar Seri Iskandar and subsequently to UTP..

At the Bandar Seri Iskandar Bus Station, you may take a Grab/Taxi to UTP which is roughly 8 minutes away by car.



From KL Sentral, you may take the KTM Electric Train Service (ETS). 

You may also purchase the ETS ticket from the ETS counter at KL Sentral or online with the cost of RM 35.00 (USD 9.00) to get to Batu Gajah Station. From there you may take a Grab/Taxi to UTP with the cost between RM20 – RM30 (USD 5-7).

The journey takes roughly 2 and a half hours to reach Batu Gajah station from KL Sentral. The ETS service is quite popular and it is advised that you book your ETS ticket at least a week in advance to ensure that you are able to use the ETS.
